We based the design of this pattern that was carved on the decorative center rondel of a targe (the small round wood and leather shield) that was originally carried by a sixteenth or seventeenth century Highland warrior. These medallions have a polished texture that belies their rough hewn look.

These medallions have two sewing staions each and are approximately 49mm across at their widest point. This cloak clasp set is suitable for mid to heavy weight cloaks and capes.
