This Star of David, or Seal of Solomon, is inspired by a high-classic design engraved on a silver plate that was part of a horde of tableware originally buried in Roman-Britain in the late third or early fourth century. Although far from the Mediterranean heart of the Roman Empire, Britainnia was a wealthy province whose residents practiced many religions. This is a particularly charming expression of the art of the late Empire, and reflects the complex world of the Roman colonies. This piece is approximately 40 mm across.

As a special order this piece may be ordered as a pendant with two loops on the back instead of a pin finding. And... this star is also available as a cloak clasp fitting.
