These are delicate and charming earrings in the style of the mid. 17th century. Playful and sentimental, they are also versatile and individual. Because we make them, they are even more versatile and unique.
Each pair of earrings is always handcrafted and each set of earrings is almost always one-of-a-kind. We created the pendant charm after a late Renaissance - Baroque French design (c. 1650) that symbolized friendship, love and amity, hand carved the master and cast each piece in sterling silver or high quality jeweler's bronze. [Our casting mark, NF&F, is featured on the back of each pendant charm beneath the hook.]

Although the pendant charms --the crowned heart and clasped hands-- are cast, the earrings themselves are hand assembled and can incorporate a wide variety of gemstones &/or pearls. We also use a number of different earring hook styles (hinge backs, simple traditional hooks, simple modern hooks, etc.) and we can build a pair of earrings to suit your personal preferences.

The display model at top features natural colored Turquoise nuggets (from the Sleeping Beauty mine in Arizona) and simple modern hooks. All sterling silver. (As a special order we can also make these earrings in a combination of bronze and sterling silver.)

The second display model features natural purple Charoite bricks --mined in Siberia-- and cast bronze elements suspended on sterling silver hooks.

We have a wide selection of natural stone, amber and pearl beads on hand and are always interested in making something different. In the recent past we have made Friendship & Love earrings featuring Jet (a light weight fossilized form of coal), cultured Grey Pearls, Chrysoprase, Amethyst, Green Garnet, Chrysocolla, Turquoise and Amber.
