The Daffodil, the first flower of Spring, is --along with the dragon & the leek-- a traditional symbol of Wales. It is worn on St David's Day & is a favorite in the kitchen gardens of Wales where the Daffodil is treasured for its beauty & hardiness.

Inspired by the symbolic first flower of Spring we at Nagle Forge & Foundry painstakingly crafted the miniature daffodil models for this pair of earrings. Each pair of earrings consist of a left and right daffodil "bouquet" cast from either high quality jeweler's bronze or sterling silver and suspended from sterling silver wires.

The display models above (top picture) feature green grossular garnet pendants cut in barrel shapes suspended on sterling silver wires from cast bronze Daffodil bouquets. Finished with Sterling Silver wires they are $115.-

The display models above (second picture) feature pale yellow Citrines --a type of natural yellow quartz-- cut in pear shapes. They are suspended on sterling silver wires from cast bronze bouquets. Finished with sterling silver ear wires they are priced at $109.-

By request we can custom craft a pair of these Daffodil earrings in sold sterling or custom make a pair of earrings with different gemstones.

Although silver is a beautiful metal, we recommend choosing jeweler's bronze for this style of earrings. The warm yellow color of the jeweler's bronze is a particularly appealing choice for the daffodil design. (The lower specific gravity of bronze --when compared with silver-- is also appealing.)

Each pair of earrings is hand finished and can incorporate a wide variety of carefully matched gemstones &/or pearls. We also use a number of different earring hook styles (hinge backs, simple traditional hooks, simple modern hooks, etc.) and we can build a pair of earrings to suit your personal preferences.
